November 26, 2015 – Recovering from his mid-October heart attack is taking 63 year old Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist Gary Rossington longer than expected and the band has cancelled their December tour dates
Lynyrd Skynyrd released a short statement on their Facebook page “After further evaluation and continued treatment by his doctors, Gary Rossington is taking the remainder of 2015 off from touring to concentrate on recuperating from his recent heart procedures”
Their next scheduled concert is set to take place on January 29, 2016, in Thackerville, Oklahoma
Rossington, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s only remaining original member, has suffered heart-related issues for years and was also hospitalized earlier this year due to an abdominal infection.
